What is BPC-157 20mg?

BPC-157 20mg is one of 2 BPC-157 vial sizes NuVion stocks in Australia. This size is $119.00, or $5.95 per mg, 14% less per milligram than the 10mg vial. See all BPC-157 sizes.

BPC-157 is a synthetic 15 amino acid peptide modelled on a sequence found in gastric juice. It is used as a research tool in tissue culture work on cell migration, adhesion and extracellular matrix behaviour, and NuVion stocks it in Australia in 10mg and 20mg vials.

  • Synthetic 15 amino acid peptide modelled on a gastric protein sequence
  • Used in fibroblast and endothelial cell culture models
  • Applied in cell migration, adhesion and angiogenesis assays
  • Supplied lyophilised, purity by RP-HPLC and identity by mass spectrometry

BPC-157 structure and research use

BPC-157 has the sequence Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val. It is proline-rich and chemically stable in aqueous solution, which suits it to work in culture media. In the laboratory it is used in fibroblast and endothelial models for work on cell migration, adhesion, angiogenesis and cytoskeletal organisation. It is also one of the four peptides in the KLOW blend.

BPC-157 vial sizes and prices, 10mg and 20mg

NuVion stocks BPC-157 in 10mg and 20mg vials. Both hold the same lyophilised peptide, and the 20mg vial works out cheaper per milligram.

Storing and handling BPC-157 20mg

Before reconstitution
Keep the sealed vial cool, dry and out of direct light. General practice for lyophilised peptides.
After reconstitution
Reconstitute with bacteriostatic or sterile water, store at 2 to 8°C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. No stability-tested shelf life is published for this product.

BPC-157 20mg questions

Where can I buy BPC-157 in Australia?
NuVion stocks BPC-157 in Australia in 10mg and 20mg vials. Choose a size at the top of this page and check out, and the order is posted from Australian stock on a tracked express service. It is supplied as a research material only and is not on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods.
How much does BPC-157 cost in Australia?
It depends on the vial size. Current prices for both sizes are shown on this page in AUD, and the 20mg vial costs less per milligram than the 10mg.
What is BPC-157 used for in research?
BPC-157 is used as a tool compound in cell migration, adhesion and tube formation assays, and in the signalling work that goes with them: FAK and paxillin phosphorylation, VEGFR2 expression and internalisation, Akt and eNOS activation, and Egr-1 and NAB2 induction. It is also used as a test analyte in peptide stability and RP-HPLC method development because it is proline-rich, aromatic-free and stable in acid.
How does BPC-157 work at the cell level?
No receptor for BPC-157 is known, so its mechanism is described from cellular assays. In fibroblast and endothelial cultures it is studied for effects on focal adhesion kinase and paxillin phosphorylation and on VEGFR2 signalling. The BPC-157 research profile covers the mechanism in full.
Why is BPC-157 described as a proline-rich peptide?
Four of its 15 residues are proline, with three in a row at positions 3 to 5 and a fourth at position 8. These restrict backbone rotation and give the first half of the chain polyproline character.
Why is BPC-157 detected at 210 to 220 nm on RP-HPLC?
Because the sequence has no aromatic residues, absorbance at 280 nm cannot be used to quantify it. RP-HPLC methods for BPC-157 detect at 210 to 220 nm. Cysteine, methionine and tryptophan are also absent from the chain.
Which ions does BPC-157 show on electrospray mass spectrometry?
BPC-157 is usually observed as a doubly charged ion near m/z 711 and a singly charged ion near m/z 1420. Both match its molecular mass of 1419.5 g/mol, and mass spectrometry serves as the identity check beside RP-HPLC purity.
What does BPC stand for?
Body protection compound, the name given to the protein in gastric juice that the sequence was taken from. BPC-157 is a synthetic 15 amino acid fragment of it.
Is BPC-157 the same as TB-500?
No. BPC-157 is a 15 amino acid peptide modelled on a gastric protein sequence. TB-500 is a fragment derived from thymosin beta-4 and is used in actin binding work. NuVion stocks both separately, and together in the BPC-157 / TB-500 Blend and the GLOW and KLOW blends.
What form does BPC-157 arrive in?
As a lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed vial. Bacteriostatic water is sold separately.
