Retatrutide receptor profile
Retatrutide is a single-chain peptide carrying a C20 fatty diacid side chain. It binds and activates the GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors, which all signal through Gs and cyclic AMP. Dual agonists such as tirzepatide act at two of those receptors. Retatrutide adds the glucagon receptor, which makes it a common comparator in receptor selectivity, receptor binding and cAMP accumulation work in vitro.
